Alternate picking and Pinky finger isolation

Here is a very great exercise that will serve dual purpose for most of you out there. First one is the alternate picking. As the exercise is made to play only three notes per string, the alternate picking sequence goes on varying from string to string. Another great thing about this is that, you are required to play the exercise with your middle finger(1), ring finger(2) and the little (pinky) finger (3). In this way, you will have some difficulty, but once you are used to it, you will start developing a great amount of independence between your ring and little finger. Check this out.
